20 -- BACKFIT CLUTCH KITS FOR DD963 AND DDG993 SOL N00024-97-R-4200 POC Rob Flowers, Contract Specialist, (703) 602-8200 x415 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a request t for proposal for two (2) Fiscal Year (FY) 98 SSS Backfit Clutch Kits for the DD963 and the DDG993, with an option for three (3) FY99 Kits and an option for two (2) FY00 Kits, to Northrop Grumman, 401 E. Hendy Ave., P.O. Box 3499, Sunnyvale, CA 94088-3499. The kits will be delivered from June 1999 through April 2001. Northrop Grumman is the only firm that currently possesses the requisite knowledge and experience to provide the needed effort and supplies within the required timeframe. No other source has the technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the Naval Sea Systems Command. (See Numbered Note 22) (0206)
