70 -- SYSTEMS UPGRADE FOR FUSED DEPOSITION MODELING RAPID PROTOTYPING TECHNOLOGY SOL F41622-97-RA202 POC Bill Lucas, (210) 536-6222 Brooks AFB Operational Contracting intends to award a sole source contract to Stratasys Inc, 14950 Martin Dr, Eden Prairie MN 55344. The requirement is for an upgrade from the current Fused Deposition Modeler (FDM) 1600 to the FDM 2000. The FDM 2000 technology will be able to work 2 materials concurrently and decrease the build time by a factor of 2. This system increases the prototyping capability and incorporates improved material delivery motors. Respondents to this proposal must submit a quote and literature no later than 5 days after publication of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this award is solely within the discretion of the Government. No award will be made on the basis of quotes received in response to this synopsis. If quotes are solicited no additional synopsis will be published. No telephone requests will be accepted.
