75 -- DRY/ERASABLE BOARDS SOL M00263-97-Q-0021 DUE 081297 POC Contact Barbara Coppinger, Contract Specialist, (803) 525-2190, Linda Stroh, Contracting Officer, (803) 525-2151 (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation M00263-97-Q-0021 is being issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-45. (iv) This acquisition is restricted and set aside for small businesses. The associated standard industrial classification code is 2499. (v) The solicitation contract line item number, estimated quantity, unit, and item description follows: Line item 0001. Quantity = 120. Unit-each. Description -Dry Erasable Boards 36"H x 48"W. Line item 0002. Quantity = 190. Unit- each. Description -- Dry Erasable Boards 24"Hx36"W. (vi) Description of each board is as follows: Line item 0001 shall be a white dry erasable board, 36"Hx48"W with headings, columns and lines as described in the following, printed in RED: (1).1st line across is the Header: "MAYBE YOU CAN BE ONE OF US"; letter size shall be (1"H) BOLD; located top center (1") below the frame of the board and (1/2") above the second line. (2). 2nd line across is for Months grid space is (2"Hx7"W): abbreviated as "JAN", "FEB", "MAR", "APR", "MAY", "JUN"; letter size is (1/2" H) BOLD, left justified. Under each month will be a BOLD thick, 7"L line. Each months column is separated by a 1/2". In the monthly grid, right of the month are two columns: 1st column "RMNPS: __/__"; under that "KG: __/__"; under that "KA: __/__"; 2nd column "WM: __/__"; under that "WK(K): __/__"; under that "PS: __/__". Letter size is (1/8") with two (1/4") lines; a slant line centered between the two. (3). 3rd line consists of the following: "NAME", Letter size (1/8") centered,grid size is(2 3/8"Wx1/2H). On same line "ENLISTMENT" with "DATE" below; grid size (1"Wx1/2"H), letter size is (1/8"). Next "SHIP" with "DATE " below, grid size (7/8"Wx1/2"H) letter size (1/8"). Delivery shall be complete within 30 days from date of contract award, Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (vii) Prices quoted shall be FOB destination, to the Receiving Section Building 295 on or before 30 days from date of award, Mon-Fri, 7:30 to 3:30 pm Eastern Standard time. Inspection and acceptance shall be performed at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC. The following Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: (viii) 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial. (ix) FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, to include the specific evaluation criteria in paragraph (a): The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible bidder whose quote will be most valuable to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers in descending order of importance. 1) Quality of the design. IMPORTANT: A scaled drawing will not be provided, with this solicitation. An informal sketch is available upon request (803)525-3706. If possible, bidders are encouraged to examine the board samples located at bldg 159, Parris Island, South Carolina. A basic layout of the proposed board is required with each quote. Bidders are encouraged to offer quotes which incorporate state of the art commercial concepts. 2) Ability to meet required delivery date. 3) Value based on price. 4) Past performance. (x) Bidders shall include a completed copy of provision FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with a copy of its quote. (xi) The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. (xii) The FAR clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) clauses and provisions apply to this contract: The clause at 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items; and 252.225-7001, Buy American Act and Balance of Payments Program apply to this acquisition.
