roe.kathleen@epamail.epa.gov. U.S. EPA Office of Research and
Development, Air Pollution, Prevention & Control Division (APPCD) in
Research Triangle Park, N.C. has a requirement for a paint spray booth
with a separate environmental chamber. The spray booth shall provide
APPCD the capability to determine the effectiveness of new coating
technologies and the benefits of reduced VOC products for specific
applications. The coating and sampling system will allow testing
innovative products and technologies and transferring this information
to users who could use the results to prevent emissions from their
facility. This equipment will enable APPCD to predict the mechanisms
for the pollution prevention techniques and to quantify the effects of
reformulating products without VOCs. The contractor shall provide and
install a paint spray booth and separate environmental chamber in room
P-119 of EPA's Environmental research Center in Research Triangle Park,
NC. The spray booth shall be sized to fit the space provided and shall
include provision for make-up air and thermal and IR curing. The booth
will be used to spray new and innovative coatings with no/low VOCs on
