reference to this procurement. The NRC proposes to enter into a sole
source purchase order with the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) for an
effort entitled "Graduate Student Assistance in the Characterization of
Radioactive and Archaeological Slags." Graduate student assistance is
required to aid an NRC employee conducting research at the JHU through
an Intergovernmental personnel assignment. Since JHU will allow no
outside students to use their facilities, the student must be a JHU
graduate assistant. The period of performance is 15 months. The size
standard for this solicitation is average annual receipts of $3.5 over
the past three years, as set forth under Standard Industrial
Classification 8733. This is a notice of intent to contract only. A
solicitation document does not exist. Interested parties should submit
written technical documentation demonstrating their ability to provide
the facilities specified to the NRC. Telephonic responses and responses
providing insufficient information for evaluation will not be
