Agency, Administrative Support Center (DASC) intends to acquire Unisys
Corporation Hardware Maintenance, Software Maintenance and Technical
Analyst Support, for the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC),
8725 John J. Kingman Rd, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060-6218. The intent is to
enter into a negotiated, sole source, one(1) year contract with
four(4) option years with Unisys for support of Unisys computer
equipment to include; monthly maintenance on one(1) Unisys 2200/500
Computer System;one(1) Unisys ClearPath Server System;two(2)Unisys
Integrated Cache Disk Arrays;two(2) Unisys Front-End Processors and
associated other peripheral hardware devices. The contractor shall
provide and install on DTIC equipment all software revisions, updates,
modules or enhancements normally supplied to commercial or other
Government customers at no additional charge to the Extended Term Plan
charge to be paid for the software. In cases where a software
enhancement or module is supplied to commercial or Government sources
at a charge, the contractor shall submit a proposal to the Government
stating the benefits and cost of such an enhancement or module. Unisys
Technical Analyst support will be required to provide advice and
assistance to DTIC systems personnel in reviewing, evaluating,
configuring, generating, testing and installing Unisys proprietary
software used by DTIC. Preventive, remedial, on-call and miscellaneous
maintenance services will be required twenty-four hours a day, seven
days a week, 365/366 days a year. All parties interested in this
requirement must respond within 15 days after publication of this
notice to DLA Administrative Support Center, Office of Contracting
(DASC-CPC), ATTN: H. Maurice Ford (703)767-1175, 8725 John J. Kingman
Rd, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060-6220. All responsible replies will be
considered. All requests for the RFP must be in writing. No telephone
inquiries will be accepted. The contract award will be made on the
basis of quotations/proposals or other information received in response
to this notice. If no responsible responses are received within 15 days
of the publication date of this notice, DLA will negotiate a contract
