The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Mental Health Services intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Hayes, Dimenici and Associates, 1320 Old Chain Bridge Road, Suite 330, Mclean, Virginia 22101. The purpose of this requirement is to provide technical and logistical support and serve as complete event manager to CMHS for "The Walk for Dignity: for Anyone Who in Some Way Has Been Touched by Mental Illness" and to coordinate the activities required to include the cooperation and participation of private and public mental health organizations in this event. The event will raise awareness regarding mental health issues and educate the public that the mind, is indeed, part of the body. The period of performance will be twelve (12) months. This award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. The Government reserves the right not to open this requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice. Technical responses and requests received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested firms must submit clear and convincing data substantiating their capability to furnish this requirement within fifteen (15) days from the date of publication of this notice.
