R -- REWORK STANDARD FOR O2/N2 GENERATORS SOL N68335-97-Q-9999 DUE 082197 POC R.R. Colot Code 223RC, (732) 323-2475. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to procure services to develop a Rework Standard for Liquid Oxygen-Nitrogen Generators on a sole source basis from Pacific Consolidated Industries, Orange, CA. The Rework Standard will be required 180 days after the Liquid-Oxygen Generators are released for production under Contract N68335-96-C-0019. The Government intends to acquire the required services from Pacific Consolidated Industries, the manufacturer of the Liquid Oxygen-Nitrogen Generators, under the authority of FAR 13.103. Pacific Consolidated Industries is the only known source with the technical knowledge and access to required technical data necessary to provide the required Rework Standard. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. Firms that recognize and provide the required services are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a written proposal which may be considered by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that this contract action will be awarded by 1 September 1997. (0205)
