R -- IMPROVEMENT OF HOSPITAL REPORTING TO STATE BOARDS OF MEDICINE AND THE NPDB SOL 240-BHPr-40(7) POC Sarah Bueter (301) 443-5352; fax (301) 443-6038 The Health Resources and Services Administration intends to negotiate on a SOLE-SOURCE basis with Citizen Advocacy Center. The purpose of this procurement is for the improvement of hospital reporting to State Boards of Medicine and the National Practitioner Data Bank. Specifically, the goals of this project are to: prepare model legislative language for State laws mandating reporting of actions involving health care practitioners by provider institutions; prepare model regulations and guidelines; develop model educational materials concerning the model legislation, regulations and guidelines; and develop a model standardized record keeping and data management format and procedures. It has been determined that Citizen Advocacy Center is the only responsbile source capable of fulfilling this requirement. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition is on file.
