U.S. Agency for International Development, USAID/Egypt is seeking
interest from U.S.(only) individuals/firms experienced in closing of
complex construction contracts. The project is a multi donor 1200 MW
Power Station located 95 kilometers south of Cairo, Egypt. Nineteen
existing contracts cover construction management, equipment suppliers
and construction components. The scheduled project completion date is
July 1997. Donors are financing one or more packages. Commercial
operation of Units Number 1 and 2 is expected December 1997 and May
1998. The successful individual/firm will be expected to (1), analyze
the Primavera Project Schedule to ascertain the following: the critical
path, delays and assign responsibility accordingly, (2) analyze claims
and additional work requests, and (3), prepare final variation orders
in accordance with the terms of each individual firm's contract. The
time frame for the desired services is expected to be approximately 4
months commencing in late September 1997. Additional services may be
