The Kennedy Center intends to award a contract to Julia Brennan Swetzoff Textile Conservation Services under authority of FAR 6.302, to conserve and restore to a stable condition the Kennedy Center's textile collection of thirty textiles (gifts from different countries, some commissioned for the Kennedy Center) on exhibit in the Kennedy Center's public spaces as well as private lounges. Interested parties may submit capability packages by mail to the above listed address before August 28, 1997, for consideration. Faxed submissions will not be considered. Capability packages must contain detailed information concerning how the Kennedy Center's requirements can be met by the vendor. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
