The Indian Health Service intends to issue a SOLE-SOURCE purchase order under the Simplified Acquisition process to Bill Helmich Associates, P.O. Box 789, Sandia Park, New Mexico 87047, for training related to the new Head Start Environmental Health Standard for Head Start operations personnel and associated environmental health staff for nine (9) months from award date. The training will provide trainees the skills and knowledge to safely operate and protect the health of children in Head Start programs operated by tribal entities. Effective presentation of ~this information will require use of unique viewpoint and context of a Tribal setting. The vendor possesses extensive knowledge of the Tribes and tribal governments that allows him to translate problems into the unique context of tribal relationships. Therefore, this procurement is a SOLE SOURCE and NO solicitation is available. Letters and telephone requests will not be accepted and are considered non-responsive to this CBD announcement. However,contractors with this capability may submit a PROPOSAL with PRICING to be considered by the Government no later than 15 days after the date of this announcement.
