PREQUALIFICATION STATEMENTS FROM QUALIFIED LIQUID PROPANE GAS (LP-GAS)
CONTRACTORS FOR LPG TANKS AND PIPING RETROFIT, PETALUMA, CALIFORNIA.
The U.S. Coast Guard is soliciting prequalification statements from
prime LP-Gas contractors interested in being placed on a prequalified
contractor's list for a LP-Gas project in the northern San Francisco
Bay Area. The scope of work consists of correction of design
discrepancies discovered with the Training Center Petaluma's 18,00
Gallon (1 ea) and 14,500 Gallon (3 ea) Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LP-Gas)
Tanks, Tank Appurtenances and Refueling stations. The retrofit work is
to bring the installation into code compliance with NFPA 58, Storage
and Handling of Liquefied Petroleum Gases, and California Code of
Regulations, Title 8, Industrial Relations. The work consists of
replacing and installing valves, gauges, plugs, regulators, cover
gaskets and above and below ground piping systems. Also included is the
welding of the cradles on the tanks to the tanks doubler plates.
Interested firms must submit a detailed statement of qualifications
addressing the following prequalification requirements: 1. A certified
copy of the Company's current California Contractor's license. 2. A
list of all employees who will work on the project, including
documentation showing that all are trained in the proper handling and
operating procedures for working with LP-Gases. 3. Listing of five (5)
similar type LP-Gas retrofit projects completed within the last three
years, within the State of California, with principal points of
contact identified. 4. Firms must demonstrate financial responsibility
commensurate with the scope of the project. 5. Firm has adequate
insurance coverage or can obtain full insurance coverage, including
workman's compensation, liability, auto, allowance to $500,000. 6.
Firms project management, safety records, and Company organization
structure. 7. A complete list of any OSHA Safety Violations which have
occurred in the past three years, and the correctivemeasures taken.
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. FIRMS WHO MEET
THE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS WILL BE ISSUED PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
FOR A COMPETITIVE BID, LUMP SUM, FIXED PRICE CONTRACT. Estimated Price
