Dawson Contract Specialist 502-798-7129 Learah Smith Contracting Officer 502-798-7834 (Site Code DAKF23) Work to be done: Primary settling basin floating solid skimmers replacement -- includes removal and replacement of four (4) skimming pipes including wall bracket, operator, seals, and seal retaining gland; secondary clarifier algae control -- provide a cover over the effluent weirs to block photosynthesis; valve replacement -- primary effluent valves, bypass valve (primary effluent, drain valves in dosing tanks, digester valves to include pumping and cleaning (supernatant and sludge); sludge and supernatant line replacement between head house basement and digester valve room and digester valve room to sludge drying beds; construct dewatering grit handling facility at the existing grit chamber; modify existing digester no. 2 cover to align cover roller guides and properly flash roof membrane around the cover perimeter; and install mechanical sludge mixers in digester nos. 1 and 2. SIC code is 1629/$17 million. The estimated dollar range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Performance period is 240 calendar days. Award of contract will be subject to availability of funds. This acquisition is issued pursuant to the "Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988" and subsequent award will be subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Therefore, this solicitation is unrestricted; however, solicitation will contain an evaluation preference for SDB concerns.
