23 -- BOMB DISPOSAL/TRANSPORT TRAILERS POC Kevin Merriweather, 202-927-7716/Contracting Officer, Grace Proctor, 202-927-8027 The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms (ATF) intends to negotiate with Hurd's Custom Machinery, Inc. on a sole source basis for 4 each: Hurd Model 300M7 Bomb Disposal Transport Trailers. Hurd's Custom Machinery is the sole manufacturer and the only distributor of this product. Vehicle specifications are as follows: 17' long x 7' wide, approximately 6000 pounds, all steel frame construction from 3" x 5" rectangular steel tubing with 3 cross braces, double wall 5/8" high grade steel tank with full bottom, outside tank diameter 42", inside tank diameter 34", fold away elbow action hoist with 360 degree swivel base, snap lock pulleys and electric capstan winch, full fenders of 12 gauge steel, top of fenders covered with 3/4" #10 expanded metal, 56" long x 18" wide x 16" high storage compartment located on front of trailer, other storage areas built into catwalk, dual torflex axles with 12,000lb G.V.W., electric brakes on both axles, radial tires with 16" 8 hole wheels, two 5/16" standard ball hitches, jack stand, 8 clearance lights, 4 stop and turn lights, 3 halogen flashing warning lights, 12 volt deep cycle battery located in built-in battery box in catwalk, one 1/2 amp battery conditioner and 120 volt panel outlet, master switch and identification light, coated with rust inhibitive primer and painted with acrylic enamel paint in customers choice of color, 600' of 3/8" polypropylene rope, 3 flip placards with 6 hazardous materials warnings, spare tire and pendant station with 100' cord. This award will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. No solicitation will be issued, therefore such request for solicitation will be considered non responsive. All interested parties must submit a written quote within 15 days of the date of publication of this notice. Awardee must complete an SF-3381, ACH/Vendor Miscellaneous Payment Enrollment Form for payment via electronic funds transfer. Quotes are acceptable by mail or fax at 202-927-8688.
