65 -- THERMOMETERS SOL FSIS-53-W-97 DUE 081497 POC Contact Point, Julie Adams, (202) 720-9891 The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has a requirement for 200 thermometers suitable for monitoring raw and cooked (40 degrees F to 180 degrees F) meat and poultry products, environmental temperatures, and live animal temperatures. The thermometers must be high quality, durable, digital, and accurate within one-tenth degree F or C. The thermometers must be computer compatible, such that data can be downloaded to a computer. The thermometers will be use in the new inspection methods models being developed for establishments operating under the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point regulation. FSIS requires delivery within 30 days after receipt of order to Washington, DC. All bids shall be FOB destination and shall include detailed technical specifications describing the instrument.
