SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION NOTICE, EMV-97-RQ-0035, j.higgs@fema.gov. This is
a combined synopsis/solicitation for the purchase of six (6) each
portable mini chemical agent detectors, with battery charger, easy to
operate, samples air for the presence of nerve and blister chemical
agents, manufactured by Microsensor Systems, Inc. According to the
format in Far Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information
included in this noticee. If bidding on other than a Microsensor
Systems, portable mini chemical agent detector, Please provide
manufacture's name and model number of proposed product. In addition,
provide descriptive literature of the product being offered in order
for the Government to determine if the offered product meets the
Government's minimum requirements. Failure to provide descriptive
literature for a proposed product will result in your offer not being
considered. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation;
proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be
issued. The solicitation Number is EMV-97-RQ-0035. The solicitation is
issued as a request for quotation (RQ). The solicitation document and
incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through
Federal Acquisition Circular 46. This procurement is a small business
set-aside. The sic code applicable to this RQ is 2823. The small
business size standard is 500 employees. Two each miscrosensor portable
mini chemical agent detectors will be shipped to three FEMA locations,
Denton, TX 76201, Denver, CO 80255, and Bothell, WA 98021.
Government's desired delivery time ARO is 14 days/Government's required
delivery time ARO is 30 days. Evaluation: The Government will award a
purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible
bidder whose bid conforming to the solicitation will be most
advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
Contractor must meet all the requirements detailed in this
solicitation. Price is of greater importance when compared to
technical. Instructions to offerors -- commercial items applies to this
acquisition.Bidders must include pricing for the 6 each microsensor
systems, portable mini chemical agent detector. Bidders are to include
a completed copy of the Provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror
