99 -- TRUCK SCALE FOR MISSILE DISMANTLEMENT IN RUSSIA SOL DSWA01-97-R-0041 DUE 080897 POC Michelle Gerenyi, Negotiator, (703)325-1190, Edward L. Archer, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-5028 The Defense Special Weapons Agency will procure one portable truck scale with the following specifications. The unit shall be suitable for placement and operation on a hard-packed earth, asphalt, or other hard surface and will include all necessary ramps to facilitate the weighing operation. The unit shall be capable of obtaining a total weight of at least 65 metric tons (comprised of a Ford L9000 tractor with a 43' level deck trailer and its cargo). The unit and indicator shall be electrically powered by a rechargeable battery source. The battery shall be capable of operating for eight continious hours. A battery charger capable of operating on European standard power (220 V, 50 Hz) with a European standard plug shall be provided with the unit. The unit shall display the weight of the load in kilograms. Farther instruction will be provided in the RFP.
