The following changes are hereby made to the original BAA 97-003 announcement submitted 22 July 1997. Under Part I, number 2., delete "to detect the presence of nuclear, chemical, and biological materials;". Under specific areas of consideration, delete number 4. "Weapons of Mass Destruction detection and identification equipment -- This area will apply MEMS technology to improve the size of packaging and the capability of detecting, identifying, and assessing the threat of nuclear, chemical and biological devices." In addition, the following information is being added. The initial effort is to be completed over a one year period. The first year estimated funding amount is expected to be $1.8 million.
