A -- EXOATMOSPHERIC KILL VEHICLE (EKV) PROGRAM SOL DASG60-90-C-0165 POC Linda B. Gray, Contracting Officer, 205-955-1187 EXOATMOSPHERIC KILL VEHICLE (EKV) PROGRAM. The government currently has contract DASG60-90-C-0165 with Boeing North American, Incorporated, Space Systems Division, (formerly Rockwell International Corporation), 12214 Lakewood Boulevard, Downey, California 90241-7024, for the design, development, fabrication, and testing of a state-of-the-art kinetic Kill Vehicle (KV) that incorporates the latest technology in avionics, seeker, and propulsion and reaction control subsystems which can achieve sufficient maturity to support interceptor development and a fielding decision if required. This contract is one of two ongoing parallel contracts for this effort which were competitively awarded in October 1990 leading to a future downselect. It is the intent of the Government to award a letter contract add-on to this contract (See Note 22) for the fabrication, integration, and test of three additional KVs to the point they are ready for integration with the Payload Launch Vehicle (PLV). Flight testing, if acquired, will be accomplished pursuant to a subsequent contract action. Because the requirement is for additional KVs being developed by Boeing, award of this effort to other than the proposed offeror would result in substantial duplication of costs to the Government. A TOP SECRET facility clearance is required. The proposed effort will not be open to foreign participation.
