Geiser, Jr., Contracting Officer, 301-295-3068 The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), the Department of Defense Medical School, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with American Management Systems, Inc. (AMS) to provide annual license, software maintenance, user group membership and programming assistance in support of the University's College and University Financial Management System (CUFS). CUFS is an off-the-shelf, commercial software product of AMS, Inc. CUFS has been the University's financial management system for several years and it is considered cost prohibitive and funcitonally unfeasible to convert to another system. Previous attempts to locate an alternative, but compatible system have been unsuccessful. AMS is the only sourc capable of providing the required services. Total contract period will consist of one base year and three one year options, for a total contract life of four years. (0209)
