The Air Force Flight Test Center intends to procure the following requirement as a sole source acquisition from Dayton T. Brown, Inc., 555 Church St., Bohemia, Long Island, New York 11716: Windblast testing and evaluation of various aircrew equipment during simulated emergency ejections. This facility will provide windblasts from 125 Knots Equivalent Airspeed (KEAS) to 600 KEAS. They will provide high-speed color motion picture and video coverage of the simulated ejections. Data analysis of the windblast test include a high speed data acquisition system capable of capturing data at a rate of 2000 Hertz. Technical services include analysis of test results, performance of failure analysis and when required, recommendations and development of engineering changes. Dayton T. Brown was selected for this award after a sources sought synopsis was published and no qualified sources were found. This award will be issued on the basis of other than full and open competition in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1. Thecontract will be awarded on or before 1 Oct 97. Note 22 applies. (0206)
