Brooks, Contract Specialist, (210)652-5121 Priscilla Marsillio, Contract Specialist, (210) 652-5169 Randolph Air Force Base is soliciting proposals from qualified sources to a award a contract to perform Library Services. The successful contractor shall provide all personnel,equipment,tools,materials, and other items and services necessary to perform general library services. Services include but are not limited to: Administration;Circulation;Education Support: Marketing, Public Relations, and Programming; Reference;Customer and Staff Training; Automation; Cataloging; Technical Processing; and Collection Management. Performance Period is anticipated to begin on or about 1 July 1998 continuing through 30 June 1999 with four (4) option years. The SIC Code is 8231 with a size standard of $5.0 million. Anticipated issue date is 1 April 1998 with anticipated opening date of 1 May 1998. This proposed contract is being considered as a 100 per cent set-aside for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Minority Institutions (MIs), as defined by the clause at 252.226-7000 of the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement. Interested HBCUs and MIs should provide the Contracting Office as early as possible, but not later than 15 days after this notice a positive statement of their eligibility as HBCU or MI. If adequate response is not received from HBCUs and MIs, the solicitation will instead be issued, without further notice, as a Small Business Set-Aside.
