On-demand printing of IRS manuals. Contractor must create and maintain a data base of approximately 69,000 pages, 8-1/2 x 11". Data base must be created by the contractor from pdf files (approximately 10% -- 20%) and hard copy (approximately 80% -- 90%) furnished to the contractor. Changes to pages will be made and contractor must update the data base. Contractor must "print" on-demand from orders faxed to them from 10 different offices. Approximately 300 different manuals. Pages range from 16 to 1,000, average of 230. Quantity per order approximately 1 to 30 copies. Estimated 2,600 or more orders placed in the period October through March, each with requirments for one to a dozen different books. Estimated 39,000,000 impressions required during that time. Estimated half of all orders and all required impressions during the months of November and December. Average 437,500 impressions required per day. Assumed will be produced using laser printing or copying but other methods acceptable provided that they meet the required quality levels and contract specifications. Quality level IV. Manuals black print on white paper, drilled with 3 round holes, each book shrink-film wrapped or poly bagged. Delivery required f.o.b. destination within the continental United States. Delivery within 10 work days for regular scheduled orders and within 5 work days for acccelerated schedule orders. Extensive record keeping required.
