The Corporation for National and Community Service, a wholly-owned Government Corporation intends to award a contract to a qualified vendor who can provide hotel and conference space in the Harper's Ferry, West Virginia area for Pre-Service Training (PST) for AmeriCorps Leaders and Coaches for the period of August 28 -- September 10, 1997 (check-out 9/11). LODGING: For the period August 28 -- 30, 1997 a total of 4 single-occupancy and 6 double-occupancy (10 rooms total) sleeping rooms will be required; for the period August 31 -- September 10, 1997 a total of 15 single-occupancy rooms will be required; for the period August 31 -- September 4, 1997 a total of 27 double-occupancy rooms will be required, for the period September 5 -- 7, a total of 54 double-occupancy rooms will be required; and for the period September 8 -- 10 a total of 27 double-occupancy rooms will be required. MEETING SPACE: For the entire period of the PST, two conference rooms for 120 participants will be required. On August 31, 1997 a reception area will be required for 65 participants; on September 5, 1997 a reception area will be required for 120 participants; on September 7, 1997 a reception area will be required for 120 participants; and on September 10, a reception area for 65 participants will be required. For the entire period of the PST, 10 breakout rooms, 12 participants in each breakout room will be required. All meeting spaces and breakout rooms will be required from 7:00am -- 9:00pm for the entire period of the PST. FOOD: On August 29 -- September 10, breakfast, lunch and dinner will be required for the following number of participants: for the period of August 29 -- 31, breakfast will be required for 16 participants; on August 29 -- 30, lunch and dinner will be required for 16 participants; on August 31, lunch will be required for 30 participants; on August 31 -- September 4, dinner will be required for 65 participants; on September 1 -- 4, breakfast and lunch will be required for 65 participants; and on September 5, breakfast and lunch will be required for 62 participants; on September 5-6, dinner will be required for 120 participants; for the period September 6 -- 7, breakfast will be required for 120 participants; on September 6, lunch will be required for 120 participants; on September 7, lunch will be required for 90 participants; for the period of September 7 -- 10, dinner will be required for 65 participants; for the period September 8 -- 11, lunch will be required for 65 participants. All meals shall accommodate specialty meals of (vegetarian, kosher, diabetic). TRANSPORTATION: On August 31, 1997, shuttle transportation from Dulles Airport to the hotel will be required to transport 62 Leaders and Coaches; on September 5, 1997 shuttle transportation from Dulles Airport to the hotel will be required to transport 52 site supervisors; and on September 8, 1997, shuttle transportation will be required to transport 52 site supervisors to Dulles Airport. On September 9, 1997, transportation will be required to transport 65 Leaders and Coaches to a service project in Harpers Ferry, WVA area; and on September 10, 1997, transportation will be required to transport 65 Leaders and Coaches to a service course in the Harpers Ferry, WVA area. On September 11, 1997, transportation will be required to transport 65 Leaders and Coaches to Washington, DC. All transportation shall be provided at no charge to the participants. The cost for providing transportation must be included in the proposal. Prospective vendors must provide unit costs for rental of flip charts, overhead projectors and screens, and cordless microphones.
