Robinson, (410) 997-6225 The USPS is seeking a proposal from qualified contractors for a single general trades contract to renovate an existing retail building for use as the new Puritas Park Branch Post Office. The total project comprises approximately 20,000 SF of floor space on an approximately 1 acre site. The renovated building will contain a retail store, workroom, loading dock and equipment, and support areas. The existing construction is essentially load bearing masonry walls with interior post and beam column lines running the length of the 175 ft long structure with concrete slab on grade floor, steel roof joists, and metal deck. The existing roof will be replaced. New interior construction work consists primarily of metal stud and gypsum board with acoustical ceilings, complete new plumbing for toilet and locker rooms and power, lighting, alarm and closed-circuit television camera systems. A new HVAC system composed primarily of rooftop units shall be provided s part of this project. Site development includes fencedemployee parking and covered postal vehicle parking and loading, loading dock maneuvering area, and complete landscaping, fencing. The estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $1,800,000 with completion wiithin 210 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Proposals are due by 4:00 PM on September 04, 1997.
