Slana (Site Code W31XNJ) Construction will provide a 1,700 square meter, fully operational maintenance shop to inspect, maintain and repair aerospace ground equipment (AGE) supporting a fighter wing. Construction is to consist of a masonry building to include administrative office space, and shop areas with concrete slab foundations and standing seam metal roof. Specialty features include two 3-Ton overhead bridge crane, and a hydraulic elevator. Work will include relocating existing fuel recycling shed, demolition of existing concrete apron, abatement of asbestos containing material from existing maintenance facility and demolition of existing facility. Work will include providing all utilities to new facility. Bid documents are available on or about 12 August 1997. Cost for Plans and Specifications for this job are free of charge.
