814-4920 The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to negotiate on a
sole source basis with Life Technologies, Inc. to develop Amplified
Fragment Length Polymorphism (AFLP) technology for detection DNA
profiles of microbiological specimens. Three deliverables will be
required: 1) a complete protocol necessary to perform reliable
Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism (AFLP) typing of microorganism
species (written and on computer disk), 2) two test models using two
different microorganism species to include copies of the written
analyses of the test models, and 3) two-day training session on the
refined AFLP procedure for government employees. This acquisition will
be procured through the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. No
