The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, (APHIS), National Veterinary Services Labs, Ames, IA is soliciting proposals on a small business set aside basis from qualified organizations to award a contract to convert up to 20 Medallion G. P. Sterilizers to Eagle 3000 Stage 3 Control. The copy of the Solicitation # RFP 74-M-APHIS-97 is to be released on or about August 13, 1997. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 90-46. Solicitation # RFP 74-M-APHIS-97 This is a small business set aside procurement under SIC 3699. There will be a requirement over the next forty eight months to convert up to 20 Medallion G. P. Sterilizers to Eable 3000 stage 3 control units. Government furnished property, 20 autoclave sterilizers, will be provided as is for upgrade. Place of performance is USDA, APHIS, National Veterinary Services Lab, 13th and Dayton Road, Ames, IA 50010. Training is to be provided to two NVSL employees on site in Ames, IA after 3 or 4 autoclaves have been rebuilt. This training will enable the employees to perform maintenance or repairs on the converted units. This contract will be awarded on a best value basis with the factors listed below used as award criteria. Offerors are asked to include information regarding the training to be provided, the method by which the units will be upgraded, maintenance and repair services available and prices and any other information that should be considered during proposal review. Three to 6 units need to be converted by September 30, 1997 and the rest as funds become available over the next 48 months. Proposals are due by COB August 29, 1997. (0210)
