18-SPACELIFT RANGE ACQUISITION STRATEGY BRIEFING An Industry Brief will be given at HQ Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles AFB, CA 90245-4687 on 14 August 1997, 0800-1100. The briefing will highlight the Spacelift Range Acquisition Strategy, specifically Depot-level sustainment, for period FY 99-03. The Spacelift Range Program provides a modernized and standardized upgrade to the Eastern/Western Ranges to improve range operability and reliability while significantly reducing O & M costs. The Spacelift Range System is comprised of the antennas, sensors, communications equipment, software, and processing equipment, located primarily at Cape Canaveral AS and Vandenberg AFB, that provide necessary command/control and data to safely and successfully conduct spacelift operations and ballistic missile tests. Attendance is limited to 2 representatives per company. Participants are requested to provide the names of those attending; Social Security Number, and citizenship by 10 August 1997 to Captain Joe Koizen. The classification for the briefing is "UNCLASSIFIED." The exact location and instructions for gaining admittance to the facility will be provided at time of telephone confirmation.
