Robinson, (410) 997-6225 The United States Postal Service is solicitating proposals for the construction of a new Postal Facility. The work includes but is not limited to, demolistion of an existing building, site work, utilities, structures, finishes, mechanical, electrical, roofing, plumbing and related work to construct a new 15,600 SF postal facility on a 2.4 acre site, located at 133 East Mahoning St. To be considered responsive the contractor/proposer must have a minimum of 10 years as a general contractor and previous experience on similar type projects. Other requirements include the following: Successful completion and favorable references for similar projects and financial stability. The proposals will be evaluated in the areas listed in descending order of importance: (1) cost/price, (2) previous experience, (3) references and (4 ) financial stability. The award will be made on the offer determined to be in the best interest of the Postal Service. The estimated price range is between $1,500,000 and $2,000,000 with completion within 270 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Proposals are due by 4:00 PM on August 29, 1997. Plans and specifications will be available on or about August 8, 1997 at a cost of $80.00 per set, Non-Refundable.
