The work includes removal of two existing 1524 mm c.m.p. cross culverts and existing flood-damaged roadway. A temporary diversion culvert will be constructed to allow for the construction of a permanent c.m.p. arch culvert. Both the temporary and permanet culverts will require rip-rap channel protection, with grouted rip-rap reinforcement for the permanent structure. The existing utilities will require isolation and protection throughout the entire construction period. The concrete roadway will be reconstructed with a 11.2 m cross section, along with other incidental work. The estimated cost is betweeen $250,000 and $500,000. -- Firm Fixed Price Contract. -- Contract duration is approximately 60 calendar days. -- Bids will be considered from all responsible sources. -- This project is unrestricted. -- The Standard Industrial Code is 1623 and the annual size standard is $17 million. It isrecommended the subcontracting goals reflect a minimum goal of 5% for Small Disadvantaged Business Subcontracting effort. -- NOTE: Plans and specs will not be mailed to firms within a 20 mile radius of the issuing office.
