Jefferies, Contracting Officer, (615)-454-7841 This procurement is for providing lead abatement and painting services at the Propulsion Wind Tunnel (PWT) bridge crane structure, Arnold Engineering Development Center, Arnold AFB, Tennessee. The work involves blast cleaning approximately 70,000 square feet of moderate-to-light structural steel of a bridge crane support structure. The structure is coated with a failed lead-pigmented paint system over mill scale. The removal of all lead-based paint shall include 100% containment of all lead dust and debris. The structure is a support for two bridge cranes and has two parallel A-frame structures; the entire structure is 550 feet long, 150 feet wide, and 110 feet high at the trusses. The work to be accomplished is in the Phase IV area only and shall be blast-cleaned, primed, and painted in compliance with all OSHA and other federal regulations for lead-paint removal. Performance period shall be 365 calendar days following issuance of a written Notice to Proceed. Estimated order of magnitude is between $500K and $1M.
