The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a sole source Cost Plus Fixed Fee modification to Raytheon TI Systems (RTIS), McKinney, Texas under Contract NO0019-95-C-0198 to incorporate and demonstrate an AN/APS-137B(V)5 Radar System, including the Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) mode into an S-3B aircraft. RTIS is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the AN/APS-137(V)5 radar and is the only source that possesses the necessary technical expertise, engineering drawings and data to perform this effort.
