POC Richard I. Sanders, 202/324-2279 The Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis under
the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (Only One Source) with Group Technologies
for the production of National Security Agency (NSA) endorsed Indictor
Retrofit kits for the Syntor-X mobile radios and the Console Interface
Unit. Once the Syntor-X and the Console Interface Unit is modified
with the indictor, these units will provide the following capabilities:
Saville I algorithm, Padstone algorithm, six key codes, data
capability, data encryption standard, allow for key mangagement
interface, no range loss, and all current radio functions will remain
unchanged. Any vendor who wishes to submit an offer shall make
demonstration that the product is endorsed by NSA for Type I encryption
and shall meet all the above capabilities. Shipping is FOB destination,
FBI Norfolk Field Office. This will be a Firm-Fixed Price contract.
