Andrews AFB MD intends to issue a solicitation for Fire Alarm and Utility Electronics System Maintenance and Repair for sites at Andrews AFB, Brandywine, and Davidsonville MD. The contractor is to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, transportation, and other items and services necessary to maintain, install, troubleshoot, calibrate, repair, test, adjust, perform periodic preventive maintenance, reinstall, inspect, design, service, overhaul, and modify the fire alarm systems, security doors controlled by fire alarm panels, security gate controls, building security systems, etc. at Andrews AFB, Brandywine, and Davidsonville MD. The Government plans to solicit the described services using FAR Part 12 commercial procedures. The Service Contract Act applies to this requirement. Interested parties shall identify, and submit to this office, their capability to fulfill the stated Government requirement with available commercial items/services. Descriptive literature such as brochures, pamphlets, etc. which describes services offered should also be included. This acquisition is 100% Set-Aside for Small Business Concerns. If inadequate response is received from small businesses, the solicitation will be issued as unrestricted without further notice. The SIC Code is 7629. Business size must be included with your request for a copy of the solicitation. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. Only written requests for a copy of the solicitation will be honored and only one copy per firm. All information required for submission of an offer will be included with the solicitation package. We do not issue receipts for either your request for the solicitation package or for your offer. Requests for information must also be in writing, no information will be given over the phone. Only requests received directly from the firm will be honored. The Government is contemplating a contract for a basic period of one year plus three one year option periods. The Government reserves the right not to exercise the options.
