COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF AUGUST 1,1997 PSA#1900EPA/NSF ETV PACKAGE DRINKING WATER TREATMENT PILOT-QUALIFYING FIELD
TESTING ORGANIZATIONS NSF International (NSF) and the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Environmental Technology
Verification (ETV) program is requesting interested organizations with
experience in conducting studies of package drinking water treatment
plants to apply for qualification to conduct verification testing or
evaluation of existing data. The purpose of this request is to provide
a list of Field Testing Organizations qualified to conduct
verification studies under the EPA/NSF ETV pilot to Manufacturers that
would like their equipment tested under the project. The EPA entered
into a cooperative agreement with NSF to develop, organize and pilot a
program on the verification of package drinking water treatment plant
performance. This pilot is part of the EPA's Office of Research and
Development ETV program. More information on the ETV pilot is available
on the NSF web site (http://www.nsf.org/html/verification.html) and the
EPA web site (http://www.epa.gov/etv). The EPA web site also has
information about the ETV program strategy and other pilots. To obtain
an application package, which includes the criteria for qualification
as a Field Testing Organization, Terms and Conditions for Field
Testing Organizations, and an application, please contact Carol Becker
