The Volpe Center plans to procure through Simplified Acquisition procedures qualified contractors to provide a Turnkey Inergen Fire Suppression System for Building #3, Computer Room(s) located at the Volpe Center. This requirement is for Fire Protection Contractor Services to replace the Halon 1301 fire suppression system that exists, with a state of the art Inergen system. The installation of the system must be performed by a contractor having a minimum of ten(10) years of experience in gaseous fire suppression systems. The following documents should apply: (1) State and Local Fire and Building Codes, Mass. Version of the National Electrical Code and (3) National Fire Protection Association Standard 2001. Small Business Firms classified under SIC Code 3669 that are interested in proposing on this requirement must request a copy of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) in writing. RFQ issuance date will be on or about 8/15/97. A single award will result from this solicitation.
