Acadia National Park Project PRA-ACAD 8A2, in Hancock County, Maine, consists of the reconstruction of rock walls, resurfacing of Park Loop Road, and other miscellaneous work. Principal items of work and approximate quantities are as follows: Reconstruct Rock Wall: 910 m3; Aggregate Base, Grading C or D: 1,130 metric tons; and Hot Asphalt Concrete Pavement: 350 metric tons. The project is expected to fall within the price range of $250,000 to $500,000. Invitation for Bids No. DTFH71-97-B-00029 to be issued on or about August 15, 1997. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to $500,000 to provide accounts receivable financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Programenables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1,000,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
