synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only Request For Quotation: (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a
written RFQ will not be issued. Solicitation #RFQ-HRD-97-050-CG. This
solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those
in effect through FAC 90-46. This is a small business set-aside under
SIC 3829, 500 employees. There is one (1)line item, indoor air quality
monitor, quantity 11. Description: Hand-held indoor air quality (IAQ)
analyzer used to evaluate air quality of facilities during annual or
requested inspections. The analyzer must be able to perform the
following functions: measure CO2, CO, temperature, % relative humidity,
dewpoint, and differential air pressure with no more than two (2)
probes. A technical support number and representative to respond
nationwide for on-site user support is required. Minimum battery life
of 170 hours is required. The quoted price for each analyzer unit will
be all inclusive of charges to the U.S. Marshals Service. Date of
Delivery is 30 calendar days from issuance of a purchase order.
Delivery and acceptance will be one (1) each to the following
locations: Tampa, FL; Newark, NJ; Baltimore, MD; Detroit, MI; St.
Louis, MO; New Orleans, LA; Denver, CO; Los Angeles, CA; San Antonio,
TX; Landover, MD; and Christiansted, St. Croix, VI. FOB: Destination.
Contractor will be responsible for all shipping, handling and insurance
of procured analyzers. Solicitation provision at FAR 52.212-1,
Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items (Oct 1995)is hereby
incorporated by reference. Award will be made to the responsible
contractor whose quotation is the most advantageous to the Government,
price and technical capability considered. Quotes submitted without
analyzer specifications or prices will not be considered for award.
Quotes that do not meet the government's requirements or conditions or
take exception to government requirements, terms, or conditions will
not be considered. Offerors are reminded to include a completed copy of
the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and
Certifications -- Commercial Items, with its offer. Clause 52.212-4,
Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items (Oct 1995), is hereby
incorporated by reference. Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and
Conditions Required to Implement Statutes of Executive Orders --
Commercial Items, is hereby incorporated by reference. The following
paragraphs apply to this solicitation and any resultant contract:
