The contract consists of 2 items, 361 acres and an option item of 237 acres located on the Sierraville Ranger District. Estimated start date is 09/25/97, contract time 456 and 230 days. Under this contract there is an estimated 1.37 MMBF of merchantible logs and 42.5 green tons/acre to be cut, removed or chipped. It is anticipated the contractor's bid will reflect the value of the merchantable material. Road maintenance is required, the installation and removal of a temporary stream crossing and the construction of a 100 foot spur road. No more than 15 acres of tillage is required. Application of an approved borate compound on all stumps 12 inches diameter and larger is required. (0212)
