This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. The solicitation number is NMA10097R5132. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. The standard Industrial Classification code is 7378 and the business size is 500 employees. National Imagery & Mapping Agency(NIMA) intends to award a sole-source contract to Richards Corporation. National Imagery & Mapping Agency wishes to procure the following (1) line item: CLIN 0001- To repair and provide maintenance on Light Tables, modification, installation and consultation services for other Image processing Systems, Imagery Interpretation Systems, Mensuration systems and their associated equipments. The Contractor shall beresponsible for providing at a minimum One Senior Electromechanical Engineer stationed at NIMA/Navy Yard, One Senior Electronic Engineer stationed at NIMA/Navy Yard, One Senior Electronic Engineer stationed at Langley and One part-time Electronic Technician stationed at NIMA/Navy Yard. The Contractor may, when required, use Part-time person for periodic two weeks periods to support out of country customer/site at no cost to the government. Due to the nature of the work, those individuals needing unescorted access to Government facilities shall be required to have a Top Secret Industrial Security Staff Approval (TS/ISSA) along with special compartmented clearances. A TS/ISSA is based upon a full field investigation and a polygraph interview. The polygraph is a condition precedent to the issuance of a TS/ISSA and is treated as an integral part of the Government's investigation. Those individuals under contract needing only limited or no access to Government facilities shall be required to have a Top Secret Industrial Security Approval (TS/ISA) clearance, along with special compartmented clearances. Period of Performance 1 Oct 1997 through 30 Sep 1998. One base year and (4) four options years. Authority for sole-source procurement is 10 USC 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302.1. Responsible sources who are interested in this procurement may respond by providing clear and convincing information that identifies their capability. The offeror agree to hold the prices in its offer firm for 60 calendar days from the date prices specified for receipt of offers, unless another time period is pacified.
