All work shall be in conformance with the specifications including the furnishing of all materials, labor, plant, tools, equipment, and services necessary and incidental thereto. The work required to be performed by the Contractor shall consist of, but is not limited to new construction, reconstruction, and repair of flexible pavement and rigid pavement including the airfield. Operations vary but may incorporate any of the following: a. Excavation, preparation of a pavement structure by lime stabilization of the subgrade; placing new stabilized aggregate base course; cement stabilization of existing base material; and priming flexible base material for a single or double bituminous surface treatment application. b. Pavements may require leveling up of wearing surface courses consisting of HMAC material; adjustment of existingutility valves, manholes and structures to conform to new pavement grades; new concrete curbs and/or curbs with gutters, and sidewalks; sealing of pavement random cracks; emulsion seal coats; minor concrete work and all required markings.
