Estimated cost of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and services to perform all the work necessary to replace deficient appurtenances, remove lead paint and replace. The Fort Myer tower is a roughly 80 foot high steel water spheroid. It's exterior is painted with lead containing paint. Several of it's appurtenances, including roof hatch, overflow pipe and vent fail to meet current codes and regulations. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. Large business firms are required to submit a subcontracting plan. The subcontracting goals are 65% for small business, 15% for small disadvantaged business and 8% of women owned small business. The subcontracting plan does not have to be submitted at bid opening.
