synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is
F04700-97-T-5347. This is a Request for Quotation. The solicitation
document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect
through FAC 90-46 and DAC 91-12. This acquisition is unrestricted.
Standard industrial classification code: 3613. Small Business Size
Standard: 750 employees. The acquisition includes Contract Line Item
Number(s): 0001, for four (4) each three phase air insulated vacuum
circuit breakers Dx#5BB1162M50360 ABB type R or equal; voltage 1535KV
continuous current 1200 amps BIL; 110KV RMS 16,000amps. Each unit shall
include the following: one (1) stored energy type, spring-close
spring-open, operating mechanism: one (1) 240 VAC CloseCoil, operating
range 208-254 VAC; one (1) capacitor trip device; two (2) 240 VAC, 375
Watt heaters, one in LV and one in HV compartment; one (1) contact
position status "open-closed" semaphore; one (1) spring status
"charged-discharged" semaphore; one (1) mechanical push to close
button; one (1) mechanical push to close button; one (1) manual spring
charging ratchet and removable handle; one (1) latch checking switch;
one (1) externally mounted "69" device to trip and block closing; one
(1) mechanical 5 digit nonresettable trip operations counter; one (1)
gasketed, padlockable, hinged access door; one (1) standard stainless
steel main nameplate; and one (1) door window for viewing status
