70 -- LEASE OF SAS SOFTWARE POC Donald T. Bolster -- Contract Specialist -7500 Security Blvd., Baltimore, Md 21244-1850 Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) intends to satisfy requirements by contracting with SAS Institute to lease the following Basic and Secondary class 'G' software license. Included are Base/SAS, SAS/C, SAS/AFM, SAS/ETS, SAS/FSP, SAS/GRAPH, SAS/IML, SAS/OR, SAS/SHARE, SAS/STAT, SAS/ASSIST, SAS/CONNECT, SAS/TOOLKIT, AND SAS/ACCESS TO DB2. Vendors who believe they can furnish the required software and fully meet the government's requirements at a cost lower than SAS Institute costs are invited to submit a written substantive statement clearly specifying their ability to meet the requirements. Responses must specifically identify products and services being offered. Responses must indicate whether offering is available under GSA schedule, and if so include a copy of the applicable schedule. If not available under schedule, the response must provide sufficient costing information to permit comparison with the SAS Institute products. All costs must be identified. Responses which merely offer a solution to meet the government's requirements without addressing respondents capability to meet each of the identified requirements will be considered invalid responses. Vendors who submit responses which meet all requirements of this notice will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the FAR. If no responses are received which meet the requirements at a lower cost to the government, an order will be placed with the SAS Institute.
