The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Hussey Seating Company, North Berwick, Maine 03906 to fabricate and deliver portable/moveable manually operated telescoping seating (risers) system. The salient characteristics for the telescoping seating systems include: Manually operated system of multiple-tiered seating rows comprising of seat, deck components, understructure that permit closing, without requiring dismantlement, into a nested configuration for storing or moving purposes. Typical applications include: Portable/movable telescoping seats. Special applications include: Removable top seating row, special top row height, transitional top steps. Interested parties may submit capability packages by mail to the above listed address before August 30, 1997, for consideration. Faxed submissions will not be considered. Capability packages must contain detailed information concerning how the Kennedy Center's requirement can be met. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
