The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), a component of US Department of Education, has for many years produced projections of education statistics at both the National and the State levels. Necessary input for these projections are historical values of economic variables, longterm forecast of these variables, and analysis of the different sectors of the United States economy. In order to continue its projections program, NCES must continue to receive thorough and timely data, projections and analysis of the United States economy at both the National and State levels.
