Lynn (703) 305-2269 The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Service (FCS) intends to issue a sole source modification to Abt Associates, Inc. on Contract No. 53-3198-2-023 to continue work on the WIC Nutrition Education Assessment Study for one year. The contract was originally awarded on 9/30/92 and currently expires on 9/30/97. The project has collected data on nutrition education processes and impacts from a variety of sources, including WIC participant and WIC local agency staff interviews, record abstraction and direct observation of selected nutrition education sessions. The results have been synthesized into a draft final report which is now under review. The purpose of this modification is to allow additional time for review of the draft final report, implementation of revisions to the subject draft report based on the reviews, documentation of analytic data files, development of presentation materials, and presentation of study findings at a professional conference. FCS does not intend to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for this requirement. Any firm believing itself capable of performing this work should submit a capability statement to: Lisa M.
