Malinowski 205-235-4256 Contracting Officer Janice Norton 205-235-6629
(Site Code DAAC01) Anniston Army Depot is seeking sources for
companies who can perform a service contract for inspection, servicing,
and maintenance of two chemical demisters (Spectra IV) manufactured by
KCH industries. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. DO NOT REQUEST
SOLICITATION. The demisters are filtered ventilation air pollution
control devices which reduce chromium emissions from a hard chrome
electroplating facility. Each demister has three water washed
polypropylene mesh pads and an additional pad which is not washed in
place. Pressure drops within the systems indicate that the meshpad
should be removed for cleaning. Services would include all inspections,
record keeping, meshpad cleaning, and equipment maintenance/replacement
required to operate the demister systems in compliance with
environmental requirements and the manufacturer's handbook. Inspections
would be quarterly and include visual inspection of tower, base and
stack for structural integrity and visual inspection of meshpads and
washing system in operation (thru removable plastic inspection ports up
to 14 foot off the ground and requires two personnel). Pressure drops
in all gauges would be recorded to determine if removal and replacement
are required. Meshpads in second and third stages of both demisters
would be removed five times a year and replaced with spares. The
removed filters would be cleaned and stored as spares. Interested
companies are requested to provide documentation, brochures, or other
literature regarding their experience in this service. It is also
requested that they provide regular commercial pricing, if available.
